1. Our position on lyrics

Miyasi is a community catalogue. Lyrics are contributed and corrected by users and are presented for reference, study, and fan use, with attribution to their rights holders. We do not claim ownership of any lyrics or music, and lyrics and music remain © their respective owners. We do not sell the lyrics or use them for advertising.

If you own or represent the rights to a work and would prefer it not appear in Miyasi — or you want a credit corrected — we will act on your request as described below.

2. How to report infringement (takedown notice)

Send a notice by email to miyasilyrics@gmail.com with the subject line “Copyright takedown”. To help us act quickly, please include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work concerned (for example the song title and the writer/composer or rights holder).
• The exact location of the material in Miyasi — a link or the in-app screen, and enough detail for us to find it.
• Your name, your relationship to the work (owner or authorised representative), and contact details.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
• Your signature (an electronic or typed name is fine).

3. What we do when we receive a notice

We review every valid notice promptly. Where a request is well-founded, we remove or disable access to the material, and where appropriate we correct attribution. We may contact you for clarification, and we keep a record of notices so we can act on repeat issues.

4. If your content was removed

If you contributed content that was removed and you believe that was a mistake — for example because you hold the rights or have permission — you may reply to us at miyasilyrics@gmail.com explaining why. We will review the counter-request in good faith and restore content where it is appropriate to do so.

5. Repeat infringers

We may limit or remove contributions, and in serious or repeated cases suspend the accounts, of users who repeatedly submit infringing material.

6. Governing law

This page and any copyright matter relating to Miyasi are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, including the Intellectual Property Act No. 36 of 2003. Acting on a takedown request does not amount to any admission of liability.
